Our ciders use a number of locally sourced ingredients. We want to give thanks to everyone who helps make our products delicious!
We grow specialized cider apples in our orchards at Heartwood. However, our friends Mike & Mark Vansteenkiste at Twin Pines are always there to provide us with what we don't have here. Twin Pines is a beautiful place, the apples are high quality, and Mike and Mark have been so generous with their support of us, as well as so many other Ontario craft cideries.
Our ciders are almost all inspired by what we grow here on the farm. However, we don't grow many of our ingredients in large enough quantity for production. Enter Matthew Setzkorn of Andrews' Scenic Acres. These folks grow the finest berries around and it's so great to have a supplier of high-quality fruit just down the road!
One of our flagship ciders is dry-hopped. We sometimes say it's the best of our ciders for a hot day. Mike Driscoll, of Harvest Hop & Malt, grows the hops that we depend on to be able to slake our (and your) thirst!
The peaches we use in Ciderhouse Sunset, one of our delicious seasonal beverages, are sourced from our friends at Palatine Fruit and Roses in Niagara. Palatine's another beautiful location, and we're grateful to have access to their delicious fruit!
