Heartwood is a regenerative farm with fresh air, good soil, healthy plants and animals, and a lively kitchen table. You're invited to the conversation.
We are the humble and careful stewards of a 42-acre farm, where we raise cows, pigs, sheep, chickens and bees, and grow apples, maple trees, and other fruit and nut trees. We have chosen the practice of Regenerative Farming for our land in an effort to maintain the healthiest soil, water systems, agriculture and livestock possible.
We make delicious small-batch craft ciders, using ingredients from our farm and local community — apples from our forest garden, maple syrup tapped from our own trees, and other ingredients like currants and peaches (even hot peppers!) for our signature flavours or seasonal offerings. Our ciders are sophisticated and a bit adventurous, but still accessible, like a craft cider should be.
Our farm stay program was introduced last year, as we invited customers for an overnight excursion to immerse themselves in our regenerative farm landscape; the offer is back online for 2024, now with three unique sites to choose from. Come explore a whole new side of life on the farm.
Every year, as new life emerges on the farm, we offer an array of on-farm experiences that invite visitors to meet the livestock and learn about our farming practices. Whether you're looking to try some cider on our patio, or visit the animals in the barn and pasture, you can pre-book your experience online.
