We are the humble and careful stewards of a 42-acre farm, where we raise cows, pigs, chickens and bees, and grow apples, maple trees, and other fruit and nut trees. We have chosen the practice of Regenerative Farming for our land in an effort to maintain the healthiest soil, water systems, agriculture and livestock possible.
We make delicious small-batch craft ciders, using ingredients from our farm and local community — apples from our forest garden, maple syrup tapped from our own trees, and other ingredients like currants and peaches (even hot peppers!) for our signature flavours or seasonal offerings. Our ciders are sophisticated and a bit adventurous, but still accessible, like a craft cider should be.
With the world gradually awakening around us after a year of challenges, we have once again opened our doors to the public and are offering an array of on-farm catered experiences for friends and families. For starters, we invite you to join us for a tasting on our patio!
After years of making primarily hard cider, we decided we wanted to make our beverage line a little more inclusive with a sparkling, non-alcoholic cider option. For all the children and designated drivers out there (or anyone looking to try something a little different) Heartwood Sparkle tells the story of sustainable farming, and high quality, local, organic juice - this time, without the alcohol!
